This module provides information on violence, and more specifically targeted violence, violence prevention, what healthy communities look like, the negative impact of violence on communities and individuals, and the roles community members have in supporting the health and well-being of their community.
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
Define violence, including targeted violence.
Recognize the similarities and differences between targeted violence and other forms of violence.
Identify the roles of healthy communities and how community members have a role in supporting the health and well-being of their communities, including violence prevention.
Describe common barriers to intervening to prevent targeted violence and how this training helps to address those barriers.
Recognize the difference between what the training program is asking you to do and what it is not asking you to do.
